Newsweek reported the information.
According to the outlet, despite the North Korean regime's strict control over the flow of information, citizens privately discuss the combat actions as the death toll rises.
As a result, the North Korean authorities have ordered citizens in workplaces and local assemblies to report anyone "spreading rumors" and warned that those who fail to do so will be punished.
According to an anonymous source, employees at the Tokchon Motor Complex in South Pyongan, a province north of the capital Pyongyang, are among those who received this directive.
"As news spreads of 11th Corps soldiers continuing to die in Russia, it seems they are trying to suppress the rumors," one source said.
- On February 7, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that North Korean soldiers have resumed participation in battles in the Kursk region.
