Dmytro Zaporozhets, the spokesman for the Luhansk troops grouping, said this during the telethon.
According to him, Russian forces are currently focusing on concentrating their troops in different areas of Chasiv Yar.
"Right now, they are in a phase of amassing and concentrating forces near Chasiv Yar, while also regrouping within the city for further assaults," Zaporozhets explained.
He noted that last week, Russian troops did not use armored vehicles but instead relied on quad bikes and buggies for logistics.
"They are actively using and stockpiling them, which indicates their intent to continue offensive operations in Chasiv Yar," he added.
- On February 5, Serhiy Chaus, head of the Chasiv Yar City Military Administration, reported that civilians remain in the city. Some say they plan to leave, while others insist they will stay.
