Wilson shared the news on X.
He revealed he will propose the "Freedom First Lend-Lease Act," which will give Trump the flexibility to send essential weapons to Ukraine and other allies.
Wilson believes this move will help "deter war criminal Putin," something he believes President Biden should have done sooner. He emphasized that this strategy could force Russia to the negotiating table through the power of U.S. strength.
It is unclear what specific provisions the bill will include or whether it will gain support from other members of Congress, where Republicans hold the majority.
- U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine has "essentially agreed" to grant Washington access to its $500 billion worth of minerals in exchange for military aid.
