Slowly but surely pushing Russian troops toward border north of Kharkiv — Ukraine’s Khartia brigade

Volodymyr Dehtiarov, a representative of the public relations service of Ukraine's 13th Khartia Operational Brigade, says Russia's retreat towards the border is a slow process, as it holds an advantage in artillery

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

“We are holding the front north of Kharkiv, between the village of Lyptsi and the border [with Russia]. In this area, the initiative is on our side. This is crucial because when the occupiers tried to break through to the Kharkiv region last year, Lyptsi was their main target. From Lyptsi, with its dominant heights, it is possible to target Kharkiv with cannon artillery,” explained Dehtiarov.

According to the representative of the public relations service, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are gradually pushing Russian troops away from Lyptsi toward the border.

“This progress is very slow. I mean, we’re talking about meters. But if you look at the DeepState map over the past few months, you can see some changes. It’s a slow process because the enemy has an advantage in artillery, which we have to compensate for with the accuracy and training of our pilots,” emphasized Dehtiarov.

He added that the tactical initiative north of Kharkiv is on the side of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“We are destroying the Russian dugouts, approach routes, and logistics lines. We are also targeting generators, which creates the most uncomfortable conditions for the Russians, especially in freezing temperatures,” noted Dehtiarov.

  • On February 10, 139 combat clashes took place between the two armies at the front. Russian forces launched 47 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
