Russia spends billions on brainwashing Ukrainians in social networks, computer games

This was reported on the air of Espreso TV by the Deputy Head of the State Security Servive (2014-2015), Reserve Major General Viktor Yahun.

When asked about how the Russians are trying to brainwash Ukrainians, in addition to Telegram channels, Yahun replied that there are cases in computer games and TikTok.

"Russians spend billions on this. We cut off their opportunities, and they find them again. Now they use YouTube less, because they don't have it. But Telegram - first of all, TikTok - second. There are some attempts to advance even in computer games," - said the major general of the SBU reserve.

According to him, the Russians have now begun to actively spread propaganda among Ukrainians abroad. Recently, at least 100 new parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate have been opened there.

"This is done in order to accumulate Ukrainian citizens around them and spread their ideology there. They are looking for any opportunities," Yahun explained.
