99 clashes at front on Feb. 9: Ukrainian forces repel 33 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk sector

On February 9, there were 99 combat clashes on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Defense Forces repelled 33 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction and 18 in the Kursk direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information as of 8:00 a.m. on February 10.

According to the updated information, yesterday the Russian aggressors launched a total of two missile attacks on the Ukrainian positions and populated areas using two missiles, as well as 87 air strikes, dropping 138 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,800 attacks, including 133 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,427 'kamikaze' drones to attack.

4 settlements in Kharkiv region; 1 settlement in Dnipropetrovsk region; 11 settlements in Donetsk region; 6 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; 1 settlement in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit one Buk anti-aircraft missile system, seven areas of Russian troops and military equipment concentration, five artillery systems and a command post.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, the Ukrainian troops rebuffed 3 of Russian troops' attacks near Vovchansk and Fyholivka.

In the Kupyansk direction, seven enemy attacks took place yesterday. Ukrainian defense forces fought off the Russian assault near Bohuslavka, Stepova Novosilka, Holubivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces attacked ten times. They tried to advance near Zelenyi Hai, Novoserhiivka, Yampolivka, Kolodiazi, Kopanky and Novoliubivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two firefights were registered near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russiann troops carried out 13 attacks near the settlements of Toretsk, Krymske and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 33 aggressor attacks near Zelene Pole, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pishchane, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Andriivka and Dachne.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian forces tried to break through ten times in vain near Kostiantynopil.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces units beat back 18 Russian attacks yesterday. In addition, the Russiann troops launched 39 air strikes using 69 guided bombs, and fired 493 artillery shells at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Siversk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, the occupying Russian army did not conduct any assault operations yesterday.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

  • Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated more than 850,000 Russian troops.
