Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the news.

According to him, the draft agreement between the Japanese and Ukrainian governments was approved on February 11.

The funds will come from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to support reconstruction projects.

"I appreciate Japan’s steady and unwavering support. We’re constantly working with allies worldwide to secure more resources for rebuilding," Shmyhal added.

  • Recently, Japan also provided Kyivvodokanal with new equipment to improve water supply, including purification and disinfection systems.
