Political expert: No signs of peace plan being paused

He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV.

"Honestly, I don't see the peace plan being paused. In this case, consultations and negotiations are ongoing. I'll repeat once more, there is very active shuttle diplomacy, not only between Ukraine and the U.S., and the U.S. and Russia, but also between the U.S. and the European Union, the U.S. and a number of Gulf countries, primarily Saudi Arabia. There are certain processes happening along the U.S.-China line," he said.

Vadym Denysenko emphasized that he completely disagrees with the idea of a pause. He believes that complex shuttle processes are currently taking place.

"There are fairly complicated shuttle exchanges of information, ideas, and proposals, with some being rejected. But we are facing a situation where one side, in this case, the U.S., says, 'We want to end the war as soon as possible.' And Russia says, 'We are for negotiations, but we want to drag them out.' That's how this situation should be interpreted," added the political scientist.
