Russian missile attack on Ukraine kills one, sparks fires across multiple regions

On February 11, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and ballistic missiles, causing casualties in Kyiv and damage across multiple regions

Ballistic attack on Kyiv

At 4:31 a.m., Ukraine's Air Force warned of a ballistic missile threat from the northeast.

Almost immediately, monitoring channels reported targets in the direction of Kyiv, followed by a powerful series of explosions in the capital. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the work of air defense.

Klitschko said that emergency services had been called to Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi and Podilskyi districts of the city. 

According to the State Emergency Service, the Russian attack caused the fall of debris and fires in a number of Kyiv districts.

In Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out in an office building from the 7th to the 1st floor. One person died. There are also victims, including a 9-year-old girl, who was hospitalized.

A large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse building covering 600 square meters in the Holosiivskyi district. In Solomianka, a fire occurred on the roof of an apartment building, while debris was also reported falling in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

A fire also broke out on the territory of a private enterprise in Darnytskyi district. Rescuers are working at all locations.

According to the State Emergency Service, two office buildings in Obolonskyi district were destroyed, and a fire broke out in one of them. Meanwhile, in Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out on the roof of a high-rise building.

As of 7:20 a.m., there are officially 1 dead and 4 wounded as a result of the attack on Kyiv.

Damage in Dnipropetrovsk region

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration said that in the evening the Russian army fired a missile at Kryvyi Rih.

As a result of the attack, the city's infrastructure was damaged, windows at a gas station, an educational institution, a hotel, and administrative buildings were shattered. Three apartment buildings and 33 cars were also damaged.

Fortunately, no people were injured.

Aftermath of the attack in Kyiv region

Last night, Russian troops attacked Kyiv region with attack drones and missiles. According to the Regional Military Administration, there is currently no information on casualties.

There were no hits to critical infrastructure.

At the same time, a fire broke out in non-residential premises in Obukhiv district as a result of the Russian attack.

In Boryspil district, 9 private houses and a car were damaged by the debris of downed UAVs.
