This was reported by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office.

He shared that one of the children is a 17-year-old boy who openly resisted Russification, showing unwavering devotion to Ukraine despite threats to his life.

"The 15-year-old twins managed to avoid forced education in Russian propaganda-filled schools thanks to the bravery and resilience of their grandfather. Meanwhile, a 10-year-old boy, who lost his parents in a shelling, was at risk of being sent to an orphanage, but his grandmother was able to save him," Yermak added.

He also expressed gratitude to the Save Ukraine team for organizing the rescue mission.

  • Already 1,037 children illegally deported by Russia have been returned to Ukraine. More than 450 of them have been returned over the past year.
