2040. Truce scenarios and their deadlines
Recently, there have been more "peaceful" initiatives for the Russian-Ukrainian war
First, there are rumors of a French-British scenario:
Freezing the war as of February 2022, plus the return of Donbas, and the status of Crimea after 2040.
And this is proactive and optimistic.
Now the Turkish initiative:
Freezing the war on the current line, banning NATO membership until 2040, but joining the EU. Referendum on the occupied territories after 2040.
And this is inertial and pessimistic.
No matter if it will happen, no matter how serious these patterns are, no matter how many more versions of them will be introduced.
The main thing here is the number that bridges the gap between the two extremes.
2040.
Putin's approximate biological age, barring any pleasant excesses.
The consequences of this war will be seriously resolved in the post-Putin world.
In 2025/26, there will be only a freeze, maybe even without a formal armistice agreement.
And then what?
The thirties will again be a time of preparation for World War II, just as in the twentieth century.
No, it is not yet underway. The world is on its porch, so far.
In the thirties, Ukraine will return to Europe, and the Russian Federation will be preparing for its collapse.
Western civilization will receive Ukrainian resources, and Eastern civilization will receive Russian resources.
(It depends only on the West how serious it will be; if the enslaved peoples of the Russian Federation continue to be ignored, then 100% will go to China).
And that's when the real global f*ck-up will begin: Civilization War.
Do you remember the disaster movie 2012?
There, Russia was part of a "cooperative" to save the planet.
Its president was with the rest of the global powers and they had their quota of arks.
So. The good news is that there will be no Russian president in the disaster movie 2040.
The Russian Federation itself will not exist.
But my generation, born under the fireworks of Chornobyl and the roar of a falling empire, did not starve to death in the 1990s, survived two revolutions, and is still living in war - we still have to live through the nuclear apocalypse of the War of Civilizations.
But then it will be a little easier.
