Only two people in world can make Putin stop war - military expert Stupak

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“Only two people in the world can force Putin to sit down at the negotiating table or make him stop the war - the president of Turkey and the president of China,” Stupak said.

According to the military expert, these two people enjoy authority and respect in Putin's eyes personally.

“Putin takes into account their opinions and expectations. When there is communication with the Chinese leader, when Peskov says that nothing has changed, it means that the processes are ongoing. It is very likely that China will be able to put pressure on the Russian Federation to start the first 'goodwill gestures' this year,” Stupak emphasized.

• At a meeting with French President Macron, Chinese leader Xi Jinping called for the start of peace talks on Ukraine as soon as possible. Macron hopes that his Chinese counterpart can influence Russia to end the war.

• The Kremlin believes that China can do nothing to help in the situation with Ukraine. Russia intends to continue its armed aggression.
