One killed, four injured in Russia’s shelling of Ukraine’s Sumy region
On July 22, the Russian occupation army shelled a village in the Krasnopil community of Sumy region with artillery, killing one person and injuring four others
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
"At about ten o'clock in the morning, one of the villages of the Krasnopil community came under fire. There were 14 explosions," the statement said.
As a result of the Russian shelling, one person was killed and four others sustained injuries of varying severity. They were taken to a hospital.
The local officials added that people's houses and civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

In June, General Serhiy Nayev called on residents of the border area of the Sumy region to evacuate. "The enemy with inexplicable persistence terrorizes the Sumy region almost daily. The Russian forces are firing from multiple rocket launchers, artillery and conducting air strikes with guided aerial bombs," he said.

On July 10, the authorities of Sumy region, after consultations with the military, decided to evacuate people from the five-kilometer zone near the state border of Ukraine.

On July 14, Volodymyr Bitsak, deputy head of the Sumy district administration, told Espreso TV that lists of people who want to evacuate from the border communities of the Sumy region are already being compiled.
