Norwegian instructors to teach Ukrainian Armed Forces military medicine and team leadership
Instructors from the Norwegian National Guard will train Ukrainian servicemen in firearms handling, military medicine and team leadership for four months
The General Staff of Ukraine announced this on Facebook.
"Instructors from the Norwegian National Guard Heimevernet will train one hundred members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in military medicine, firearms handling and team leadership for four intensive weeks. This is the first of several courses where Norwegian instructors from the Norwegian National Guard will train Ukrainians in Norway," the statement said.
Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram noted that support for training Ukrainian soldiers in Norway and other countries will become increasingly important as the Armed Forces of Ukraine acquire more Western weapons. This will also increase Ukraine's advantage over Russia.
He called such support from Norway natural, as it is important for the country to resolve wars peacefully and build peace in Europe.
"We will not only train these soldiers, we will also take good care of them and show them good hospitality. The training site has already prepared accommodation and settlement facilities. The kitchen is aimed at Ukrainian dishes, and the training field has an appropriate combat environment - trenches and strongholds," added Colonel Jens, who was recruiting instructors and preparing everything necessary for the training.

On April 21, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that about 16,000 more Ukrainian soldiers had been trained in the EU.
