The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, announced this on Twitter.
"At Ukraine Defence Contact Group, I updated on EU military support. Over 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained," he wrote.
Borrell noted that the EU member states have supplied Ukraine with ammunition and missiles worth more than EUR 600 million.
"Work on joint procurement is ongoing. The EU continues to work with partners to ensure Ukraine prevails," he added.

During the meeting of Ukraine's allies in the Ramstein format, it was decided to establish a maintenance centre for Leopard 2 tanks in Poland.
