Norway, with the assistance of NATO, handed over military medical buses to Ukraine
Kyiv has requested international assistance through NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center. Norway handed over five military ambulance buses to Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Alliance.
"The donation, worth three million euros, was coordinated by the EADRCC through a financing arrangement with Norway," the statement said.
It is noted that Norway handed over five military ambulance buses to Ukraine at Kyiv's request for international assistance through NATO's Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center (EADRCC).
The center identified the need for ambulance buses and facilitated the delivery of this medical aid to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"We will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes. NATO Allies are providing unprecedented support, and today, Allies made additional pledges to NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine. This will fund urgent non-lethal support, including fuel and medical supplies," the Secretary General emphasized NATO Jens Stoltenberg.
It is known that the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center is NATO's main emergency response mechanism in the Euro-Atlantic region. It works all year round 24/7. All allies and partner countries of NATO participate in its work.
