Mobilization is sign of Putin's weakness
Putin's declaration of the "partial mobilization" of his compatriots to participate in the war on Ukraine is a similar sign of his political weakness and defeat as the forced holding of fake referendums on the territory of Russian-occupied Ukrainian regions
Putin has to admit that the Russian army cannot fulfill the tasks he set the day before, that is, the Russian troops not only do not reach the administrative borders of the occupied regions, but also lose territories. Putin has to call a 'referendum' in the regions, part of whose territory is not only controlled by the legitimate Ukrainian authorities, but also returned to the control of these authorities after several months of criminal Russian occupation and atrocities of the 'liberators'.
At the same time, Putin knows very well that mobilization is not popular among his compatriots. That most of them want to watch this criminal war from their sofas and repeat 'patriotic' slogans on social networks, rather than sacrifice their lives for Putin's ridiculous ambitions. But the Russian president has no other choice. The generals convinced him that without building up the army he would not be able to win this war. And victory in the war, and a quick one, is a matter of the survival of the entire criminal regime and the preservation of all looted wealth by its representatives. Putin sees that prolonging the war leads to a loss of support. Not only in the West, but also in Asian countries and in his own society. He hopes that new cannon fodder will help him persuade Ukraine to capitulate. But in reality, he will only increase the opportunities for his own downfall, widen the gulf that will continue to widen from now on between him and his own people, whom he is sending to slaughter.
