Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy S-300 system in Berdiansk — media

The Center for Investigative Journalism reported the information, citing its own sources.

According to the Center, last week, using a UAV, Ukrainian soldiers tracked down and hit the Russian air defense system in the western part of Berdiansk. 

"After the hit and subsequent detonation of the SAM ammunition, a fire broke out, covering about 36 hectares of steppe on the Azov cliffs," the statement said.

The deployment of the S-300 in this area has been known since the beginning of the occupation of Berdiansk. The Russian air defense system has been used to protect a Russian military training ground in Novopetrivka and has repeatedly intercepted Ukrainian missiles and drones.
