Russia has fired over 1900 times at Ukraine's border in one month - State Border Guard Service
Since the beginning of the year, Russian occupation troops have fired over 1900 times at the border areas of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions
Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this in the Frontline program on the We Are Ukraine TV channel.
"Every day the terrorist country continues to shell the territory of Ukraine within the Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Since the beginning of this year, in fact, for almost a month, our units have recorded more than 1,900 attacks carried out by Russia from its territory, and it uses a variety of weapons: artillery, mortars, but also other means, including aviation," he said.
According to Demchenko, most hostile subversive reconnaissance groups are recorded in the Sumy region, although there are also many of them in the Kharkiv region.
At the same time, fewer attempts by Russian subversive reconnaissance groups are recorded in the Chernihiv region, although "last year, especially at the beginning of the year, this direction was the most active." The SBGSU cannot explain why the saboteurs changed their direction.
- On January 10, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group shot at a civilian car in the Semenivka community in Chernihiv region, killing a man.
- On January 26, General Serhiy Nayev said that there is a great threat of Russian subversive reconnaissance groups near the border of the Sumy region.
