Number of Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia region increases to 90,000 in three weeks
Over the past three weeks, the number of Russian troops in Zaporizhzhia region has increased by 2,000. In total, there are now almost 90,000 Russian military in the region
Captain Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, said this during a telethon.
He emphasized that despite the increase in the number of enemy troops in the region, there are no signs of the formation of an offensive group of occupying Russian forces.
“If we take the number of enemy personnel, for example, in Zaporizhzhia region itself, there are quite a few Russians here, almost 90,000. And there is an increase in this number - somewhere in the last three weeks, another two thousand have been added. However, our intelligence says that there are no drastic, significant changes that would affect the course of hostilities. There are no signs of the formation of an enemy offensive group,” said Lykhoviy.
According to the spokesman, there are not enough enemy troops in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to conduct effective offensive actions beyond the frontiers where Russians are located.
At the same time, Lykhoviy added that the nature of the fighting in the Tavria operational area is a positional confrontation, as “the Russians are unable to conduct active assault offensives in several directions simultaneously.”
