Ukrainian drones strike Russian missile arsenal in Tver region
Drones operated by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) and Special Operations Forces (SSO) struck the 23rd missile arsenal of Russia’s Ministry of Defense in the Tver region. A total of around 20 explosions were reported
This was reported by sources from RBC-Ukraine and NV.
According to the report, the drones hit the storage facility itself and three buildings of the military base. Local residents wrote on social media about two dozen explosions and the evacuation of civilians.
"The SBU, together with the Defense Forces, continues to target military and logistics sites on enemy territory, reducing its ability to wage war against Ukraine. Drone sanctions are proving effective, and their use will continue," a source stated.
In addition to the storage facility, drones attacked the Andreapol oil pumping station, a key component of the Baltic Pipeline System-2.
As a result of the strike, the station's filtration and pumping site was damaged, tanks with additives were hit, oil products spilled, and a fire broke out. Russian authorities were forced to shut down the main pipeline supplying oil to the Ust-Luga terminal in the Leningrad region, according to media reports.
- On January 26, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces struck storage facilities for Shahed-type attack drones in Russia’s Oryol region. Over 200 drones were destroyed in the attack.
