Kremlin sees Moldova as springboard for further war against Ukraine - journalist Horik
Moldova is of interest to Russia as a platform to enter the territory of Ukraine from other regions where there have been no previous attacks
RISE Moldova investigative journalist Vladimir Horik shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Most likely, the Kremlin sees Moldova as a springboard for controlling the land corridor and attacking Ukraine. Moldova itself is hardly of any other interest to Russia, but as a platform to enter the territory of Ukraine from other areas from which there have been no previous attacks," he said.
Horik answered a question about Moldova's reaction to the statements of the Ukrainian authorities.
"After Zelenskyy's statements that Russia is preparing a change of government in Moldova, the Moldovan secret service said that it was aware of these plans and was taking measures to neutralize Kremlin supporters in the country who would try to overthrow the government. There is a nuance that a series of elections are starting in Moldova this year. I think the authorities are ready to cope with this," the journalist concluded.
