Japanese PM Kishida plans to meet with Zelenskyy during NATO summit
Fumio Kishida, Japan's Prime Minister, has arranged a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the NATO summit on Wednesday

"It would be the first time for the two leaders to meet since the president made a surprise appearance at the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima in May. In June, Kishida held a telephone conversation with Zelenskyy," the statement said.
During the talks with Zelenskyy, Kishida is expected to express his readiness to strengthen support for Ukraine in rebuilding its economy and infrastructure.
Japan has agreed to set up a communication system with Ukraine to help support the country's efforts to restore the territories affected by Russia's war.
Japan is reportedly planning to provide Kyiv with advice and expertise to rebuild the devastated regions, using the experience gained during the 2011 massive earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated the northeastern part of the country.
