France, UK seek to provide Ukraine with additional support for decisive advantage on battlefield - Sunak
The United Kingdom and France stand by Ukraine and are seeking to provide additional support to give it a decisive advantage on the battlefield
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said this, Sky News reports.
“We obviously took a lead in providing main battle tanks, which was helpful in catalyzing others to do the same,” he said.
Sunak added that long-range weapons are important at this stage of a full-scale war. According to him, this was another area where countries have made progress.
The UK Prime Minister said that the war would end at the negotiating table. However, he emphasized that this decision should be made by Ukraine. He also noted that France and the UK continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine, as do other countries.
“A success of the last year has been a strengthening of an alliance of countries, not just in NATO, not just in Europe, an alliance that has stretched across the world,” he noted.
