Ferrexpo is included in Financial Times' ranking of European climate leaders
Ferrexpo, which owns Poltava, Yeristovo and Bilanovo mining and processing plants in Poltava region, has been ranked by the Financial Times
The Europe's Climate Leaders 2023 ranking consists of 500 European companies that have been evaluated for their success in achieving decarbonization and emissions reduction.
The list also includes such well-known companies as Deloitte, L'Oreal, Philips, Hermes, Ernst & Young, Henkel, Electrolux and others.
Over the past four years, Ferrexpo has managed to reduce carbon emissions at its production facilities by 31%. The company plans to reduce this figure by 50% by 2030.
Like the leading companies in the EU and the UK, Ferrexpo is guided by the Carbon Zero strategy, which aims to reduce its carbon footprint to zero by 2050. Decarbonization will minimize the impact of carbon emissions on the environment, namely the greenhouse effect, which is the root cause of global warming, which has recently been experienced by European countries.
