Eastern direction remains hottest section of front, military expert Zhdanov says
A military expert says that the situation at the front remains stable: Russia is pressing in the east, and Ukraine's Armed Forces are trying to advance in the south
This is reported by Gazeta.ua with reference to military expert Oleh Zhdanov.
“The eastern direction remains the hottest section of the front. There, the Russian forces are constantly attacking Ukrainian positions. Over the past day, they had a slight advance in the Maiorsk area. We are maintaining our defense in the remaining sections of this operational direction. But they are constantly attacking,” Zhdanov said.
The expert explains that the situation is more stable in other operational directions: “In particular, there is a decrease in combat activity in the Zaporizhzhia region. In the Kherson region, we are advancing more actively. But not very quickly. Mainly by defeating the enemy either by aviation or artillery.”
Analyzing the current events on the front line, Zhdanov says that the situation will be more or less stable in the coming weeks.
“They will continue to attack in the Donetsk region. We will try to attack in the Slobozhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. We are currently at the stage of stockpiling reserves. The enemy is too. We are held back by the fact that we cannot stockpile heavy weapons quickly,” the expert added.
