Died while giving bread: the invaders shot the head of the Gostomel community

"The head of the Gostomel community Yuriy Ilyich Prylypko died while giving bread to the hungry and medicine to the sick, comforting the burnt and consoling the desperate. For this he and his brothers Ruslan Karpenko and Ivan Zorya were shot dead by the invaders", the statement said.

"No one forced him to go under the bullets of the invaders. He could, like hundreds of others, sit in the cellar. And who would blame?! But they waited for him, hoped for him, believed in him. And he made his choice. He died for the community, died for Gostomel, died as a hero. Eternal memory and our gratitude", it is added in the statement.

Due to the fighting in the city there will not be any big funeral.

"As for the situation, it is impossible to invite anyone to the funeral, you can just remember and pray", it is said in the statement.
