Czech Republic to hand over RM-70 MLRS with rockets to Ukraine
In a few weeks, Ukraine will receive an RM-70 rocket launcher and 365 missiles, for which Czech citizens have raised over USD 1.3 million
Martin Ondráček, the author of the Gift to Putin initiative, said this, Ceske Noviny reports.
“Today we have exceeded USD 1.3 million, and our goal is over USD 2.3 million. A system costs almost USD 784,000. Our goal is to send another 365 missiles there so that the weapons have some equipment,” he said.
According to Ondráček, the weapon has already undergone an overhaul, including repairs to the engine, chassis platform, and fire control system.
“This is a fully comprehensive repair, including the engine, chassis platform, rocket launchers or fire control system, so that the rocket system meets the highest possible requirements for combat use,” Ivo Strejček, STV Group Development Director, said.
