Czech Republic, the Netherlands to jointly produce mobile air defense systems for Ukraine
The Czech Republic will produce mobile air defense systems for Ukraine, the equipment will be designed to combat drones
Novinky.cz reported the information.
The Netherlands will pay for the Czech production of mobile air defense systems for Ukraine, in particular a hundred modified Toyota all-terrain vehicles equipped with a pair of rapid-fire machine guns. Such equipment can be used to counteract, for example, drones. As part of the agreement, the Netherlands will purchase the necessary ammunition from Czech companies.
The deal was mediated by the Czech Ministry of Defense through its Agency for Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation (AMOS).
"The project is based on the same principles as the previously announced modernization of 90 T-72 tanks. Their repairs are jointly paid for by the US and the Netherlands, and the Czech Ministry of Defense is coordinating everything. The tanks are being modernized and supplied by a Czech company," Czech journalists said.
