75 clashes occur on Russian-Ukrainian front, Russia bombs Kursk region - Ukraine's General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 4:00 p.m.

Russian artillery fired on the border areas of Sumy Oblast. Affected settlements include Oleksandrivka, Hrabivske, Pavlivka, Tymofiivka, Zhuravka, Volfyne, Velyka Pysarivka, Khrynivka, and Basivka.

Additionally, Russian airstrikes hit Mazenivka and Novenke. Russian occupiers conducted 10 strikes on their own territory, in particular, dropped 11 guided bombs on the Kursk region.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, four Russian attacks on the Ukrainian defenders’ positions took place over the past day near Vovchansk and Strilecha, with two attacks already repelled. 

In the Kupyansk sector, eight Russian attacks were registered near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, Kruhlyakivka, and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops continue attacks near Hrekivka, Cherneshchyna, Tverdokhlybove, and Terny, with six of seven attacks already repelled. Russia also launched airstrikes on Borova, Ivanivka, and Dronivka.

In the Siversk and Kramatorsk sectors, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions but carried out airstrikes near Kreminna and Khromivka. 

In the Toretsk sector, Russia launched two attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, one of which was repelled. Russian airstrikes targeted Ivanopillia, Kostyantynivka, and Svitlodarsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the invading Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times near Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Promin’, Kruty Yar, Petrivka, Novooleksiivka, and Pustynka. The Ukrainian defense forces repelled half of them.

In the Kurakhove sector, 16 combat engagements have been registered so far. The Russian invaders are most actively trying to advance in the areas of Nova Illinka, Berestky, Novoselydivka, Voznesenka, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Zorya, Kurakhove, Dale, Katerynivka and Antonivka. Eleven battles are still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, the Russian occupants launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Romanivka, Sukhi Yaly, Novodarivka and Rivnepole, three engagements are still ongoing. Russians fired guided bombs in the area of Velyka Novosilka.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russians launched two unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions, along with an airstrike on Olhivka.
