Trump won't talk about Ukraine's very sensitive issues in public - politician
Politician Mark Feygin believes that Trump's plan to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war contains points that are very sensitive for Kyiv, including funding, weapons, and security guarantees
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"And what does Trump's plan, which, for now at least, is obviously going to be implemented, entail? It's the same idea of Trump that he can talk to both Zelenskyy and Putin, and thereby bring about a ceasefire through negotiations almost overnight. It was also announced that Ukraine's membership in NATO would be frozen for 20 years, a moratorium would be imposed on Ukraine's membership in NATO, a demilitarized zone would be created, and there would definitely be territorial losses, the rejection of occupied territories in favor of Moscow. These are the three points of the plan that are being publicly discussed. The rest of the points remain a mystery, but they are definitely there. We don't see them, they are not voiced to us, but they are there and they have more sensitive details about which Washington, I mean Trump, is not very willing to make public statements now: what will happen to the Ukrainian army? What about funding, armament, Moscow's commitments, its guarantees of non-aggression in the future? No one is saying anything about this," Feygin explained.
The politician emphasized that Putin's main goal is to capture the whole of Ukraine and he will never give it up. Even if it is possible to freeze the Russian-Ukrainian war now, Russia will immediately begin preparations for a new invasion in a certain time, having analyzed its mistakes.
"And Moscow, which is encouraging, by the way, is already saying that this is unacceptable to it. We understand why. Because, if these three public points are indeed proposed for discussion, then for Moscow the most important unacceptable point is the creation of a demilitarized zone with some troops under an international mandate. They mentioned British or possibly American troops, which is absolutely unacceptable to Moscow, because it means that it will be impossible to resume a new war, and Moscow is certainly preparing for it, planning it after the end or ceasefire of the current war in order to realize Moscow's main goal, which is to capture all of Ukraine, not just part of it, not just those occupied territories, not even those four regions up to the administrative borders that Moscow and Putin insist on, but to capture all of Ukraine. But if there are American troops between you and Ukraine, well, it is possible, of course, but there are actually more risks," he emphasized.
