Crimea can be de-occupied without ground operation – military expert Chernyk
It is possible to carry out an operation to de-occupy Crimea using only aircraft and long-range missiles
Military expert Petro Chernyk said this on Espreso TV.
“Can Crimea be de-occupied without a ground operation? In my opinion, it can be. This requires a lot of aviation. F-16s can use such long-range missiles as AGM-158. The range is up to 910 kilometers. With the help of these missiles, we can destroy the Crimean bridge. And with long-range air-to-air missiles, such as AIM-120 AMRAAM (range up to 180 km), we will close the sky over Crimea. And all the logistics and infrastructure will be destroyed in a few weeks with a large number of missiles,” he said.
“We will reach a point where everything is exhausted. It is not the equipment that is fighting, but the people. When everything is exhausted there, it is only a matter of time before our ground troops will come in,” the expert added.
