This was reported by the Brazilian government.
The Brazilian government condemns the series of bombings and ground attacks carried out today in Israel from the Gaza Strip. It expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and its solidarity with the people of Israel. Reiterating that there is no justification for violence, especially against civilians, the Brazilian government calls on all parties to exercise maximum restraint to prevent an escalation of the situation.
As President of the United Nations Security Council, Brazil will convene the body's emergency meeting.
