This is reported by CNBC with reference to the Australian government.
It is noted that the HIMARS systems that the country is buying include the launchers themselves, missiles, as well as a set of training missiles. It is reported that the new complexes should enter service by 2026. Australia has ordered several types of missiles, the most long-range of which have a range of about 300 km.
Manufacturer claims, in the future, the range of ammunition may increase with subsequent updates of software and missile components.
Australia also signed a contract with the Norwegian company Kongsberg for the purchase of naval strike missiles for destroyers and frigates, which next year should replace the outdated Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
