Unidentified attackers opened fire on two electrical substations in North Carolina, USA, on Saturday, leaving 40 000 homes and businesses without power

District is said to be without power for a second day, causing Sunday services to be canceled and schools to remain closed until at least Monday. Representatives of the energy company warned that outages could last until Thursday, December 8. Overall, 64% of customers in Moore District were without power, mostly in rural areas.
Power outages started on Saturday at 19:00.
County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the motive for the crime was unclear, but the attack was "definitely targeted." The case is currently being investigated by the FBI, broken gate and gunshot marks were found at the crime scene.
