Poland prepares €200 million military aid package for Ukraine

This was announced by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to PAP.

"Currently, we are preparing the 46th aid package for Ukraine, which will cost over €200 million. This is sometimes more than some European countries have donated throughout the entire war. We will continue training Ukrainian soldiers," he stated.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Poland has trained around 28,000 Ukrainian troops out of the 80,000 to 90,000 trained across EU countries.

At the same time, the Polish defense minister stressed that Warsaw remains a "leader of assistance" in terms of military support for Kyiv.

"I remember those National Security Council meetings when I was in opposition. Back then, there was unity between the opposition and the government. No one doubted the need to provide equipment. While some hesitated and checked their warehouses, tanks, heavy equipment, and ammunition were already flowing from Poland. We gave everything we could," he added.

• In November last year, it was reported that Poland ranked first among all countries in terms of GDP share allocated to aid for Ukraine—nearly 5%. The country is also among those that have accepted the most refugees.
