Animal eyes in blood-stained envelopes: at least eight Ukrainian embassies received threats
Ukrainian embassies in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy, Naples, Krakow and Brno received bloodstained envelopes with animal eyes.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.
"After terrorist attack in Spain, bloody packages were sent to the embassies in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy, consulates general in Naples and Krakow, the consulate in Brno. There were animal eyes in the packages. We are studying the meaning of this message," the agency writes.
Packages were reportedly soaked in red liquid and had a foul smell.
"We have reason to believe that well-planned campaign of terror and intimidation of embassies and consulates of Ukraine is taking place. Unable to stop Ukraine on the diplomatic front, they are trying to intimidate us. However, I can immediately say that these attempts are futile. We will continue to work effectively for the victory of Ukraine," Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, believes.
