About counteroffensive: stop reading Russian Telegram channels
Everyone is very concerned about how our counteroffensive is going. This generates an avalanche of publications in the Western press ranging from complete failure to "Ukrainians are doing great," and equally different assessments within the country
I decided to make a few points that explain what is happening.
1. Our counteroffensive actions are almost one to one the same as the operation in Kherson. Have you already forgotten how we broke through to Kherson last August and stopped at a distance of 10 km? How we tried to break through, but were blown up by mines, and the enemy artillery smashed our equipment in the steppes, where there is no place to hide? We have to remember that Kherson was not liberated overnight, but was preceded by long, protracted operations.
2. A new phase has begun - the destruction of weapons depots. As in the case of Kherson, this may play a key role in the occupiers' retention of their positions. But, again, it is unknown how long it will take.
3. Counteroffensive operations on our part are being conducted with limited forces. That is, some brigades are involved, while most are waiting for the main attack. This is another reason why everything is taking so long. But bringing in the main forces without preparing the battlefield would have burned them.
4. We did not have an advantage in offensive actions. The advantage was only in the quality of weapons and motivation. But we had no advantage in the number of soldiers or equipment. Therefore, we should not expect miracles yet.
5. Stop reading Russian Telegram channels. Yes, we have losses, but these losses are not exorbitant or abnormal. First of all, due to the quality of the equipment. Yesterday, I was told that not a single soldier was killed in Turkish Kirpi. Similarly, the Bradley withstood two hits, the rupture of its own ammunition, and everyone survived. This equipment saves lives.
6. What will happen next? For now, there will be no major changes. There is a systematic grinding of Russian forces and reserves. The Russian artillery is being ground especially well. The same applies to their warehouses and logistics. This situation, in my opinion, will continue for several more weeks. Then, perhaps, there will be a breakthrough in one of the areas where Russian troops will be particularly exhausted. But an important factor in all of this is Western assistance, which should prevent us from being exhausted.
