Zelenskyy's visit to Israel is risky, says international expert Semyvolos
Ihor Semyvolos, director of the Association of Middle East Studies, suggests that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's trip to Israel could impact Ukraine's future relations with countries in the Middle East
Semyvolos shared his thoughts with Espreso.
He stated, "In my view, this visit carries risks for our future Middle East relations, especially considering the ongoing war escalation and ground operations in the Gaza Strip. This visit might pose challenges for Ukraine's relations with Arab nations."
He also highlighted Ukraine's strong ties with Arab countries, as well as the significant investment and humanitarian support Ukraine receives from the Arab world. Furthermore, Semyvolos emphasized the importance of Arab countries' votes in the General Assembly that Ukraine should not jeopardize.
