“Ukraine mustn't repeat what Russians did at Zaporizhzhia atomic station" - former Energy Minister
Ivan Plachkov, former Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, noted that all actions around the Kursk nuclear plant should be coordinated with the IAEA
He went into detail in an interview with Espreso TV.
"Kursk NPP is several tens of kilometers away. This is a nuclear facility. We understand that there are nuclear units of the RBMK (high-power channel reactor - ed.). This is a class of graphite-moderated nuclear power reactor designed and built by the Soviet Union. The same was at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. Therefore, we have to be very careful not to repeat what the Russians did with the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Even if the plant is surrounded, a corridor should be made so that licensed personnel can work there. The main thing is that all actions should be coordinated with the IAEA, so that, God forbid, they do not accuse us of nuclear terrorism," commented the former Energy Minister of Ukraine.
Ivan Plachkov noted that the Russians are ready for anything, so they can make any provocation at the Kursk NPP and accuse Ukraine of it.
