Trump's policy will push Ukraine to negotiate with Russia - Ukrainian World Congress Vice President
Ukrainian World Congress Vice President in North America, Marta Farion, notes that Donald Trump has a huge chance of winning the U.S. presidential election
She shared her opinions with Espreso TV.
“We don't have the final numbers yet, but it looks like Donald Trump has a huge opportunity to win, we didn't expect it. We still need votes from the state of Pennsylvania. If Trump becomes president, it will be a change in American policy for Ukraine, because President Biden and his government have been helping Ukraine quite a bit,” Farion said.
According to the Ukrainian World Congress Vice President, with Trump's arrival, the situation may change, and Ukraine will have to adapt to new conditions. There is a possibility of reduced U.S. aid, and such a policy could force Ukraine to seek a compromise or agreement with Russia. However, the Ukrainian people will not accept capitulation.
“I don't want to be too pessimistic, but we need to be realistic about the situation. The U.S. population is electing Trump because people want an isolated American policy, fewer immigrants and less taxes, and that's why this is the result,” Farion emphasized.
- Voice of America journalist Kateryna Lisunova noted that American media and analytical organizations make predictions based on the number of voters who have already voted in each US state.
