The press service of the initiative reported the information.
“For his birthday, Timothy Snyder is joining forces with another UNITED24 ambassador, Mark Hamill, to jointly raise Safe Land for 30 demining robots,” the statement reads.
Each of these robots can operate in hard-to-reach areas and, most importantly, at a safe distance from the operator, working faster than a sapper.
The total fundraising goal is $441,000.
- On July 8, the United24 initiative and monobank launched a fundraiser to raise UAH 100 million to help the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital, which was attacked by a Russian missile: the amount was raised in less than three hours, and the fundraiser was extended.
