Russia plans to interfere in US presidential election using AI – US intelligence
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence believes that Russia will try to influence the US presidential election with the help of artificial intelligence
Bloomberg reported the information, citing its own sources.
According to officials of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Russia poses the most serious threat in this election cycle.
Russia is seeking to influence the 2024 presidential election through hired commercial firms and the use of generative artificial intelligence.
Bloomberg noted that Moscow probably sees the elections as an opportunity to achieve its broader goals of reducing support for Ukraine's military efforts, undermining confidence in democratic institutions, and generally undermining confidence in the United States.
The intelligence community expects Russia to take advantage of social divisions in the United States, including protests on college campuses in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza war.
