Ukraine may receive first US package of weapons in April — Ambassador Markarova
Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova suggested that the first package of weapons from the United States, after the adoption of the aid bill, could arrive in Ukraine as early as April
Markarova said this in an interview with European Pravda.
The ambassador said that she hopes that the procedure for approving the bill on assistance to Ukraine will be completed as soon as possible, and that US President Joe Biden will sign it immediately. After that, the law will immediately enter into force and the authority to provide weapons to Ukraine will also immediately come into effect.
"I will say more, Ukraine and the United States are actively working on these packages, not stopping even when there was no such authority. Therefore, I think it will happen very quickly," Markarova said, adding that it is possible that it could happen as early as April.
