Water level drops by 64 cm overnight in Kherson region, 6 cm in Mykolaiv
As of Monday morning, June 12, the water level in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions has decreased
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, and the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported this on Telegram.
Situation in the Kherson region
“As of 09:00 a.m., the water began to recede and has already reached 3 meters 29 centimeters. Compared to yesterday evening, the level has decreased by 64 cm,” said Prokudin.
He added that the situation in the flooded settlements remains unchanged. There are 46 cities, towns and villages still under water: 32 on the right bank and 14 on the left. In the liberated area, 3,701 houses are flooded.
He also noted that 2,743 people were rescued, including 228 children and 77 people with limited mobility.
In addition, the deputy head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Olha Maliarchuk, reported on Facebook that as of 07:30 a.m., the water level in Kherson was 3.6 meters.
Situation in Mykolaiv
According to information from Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, the water level in Mykolaiv's waters dropped by another 6 cm overnight, and by 55 cm since the beginning of the flooding.

Flooding was reported in four districts of Mykolaiv on Tuesday evening. The water level rose by 82 cm, leading to the destruction and flooding of bridges and gardens in the region.
As of June 8, the water level in Mykolaiv rose to 102 cm, and in the Kherson region, the water receded by 6 cm.
On Friday, June 9, the water level in Mykolaiv continued to be monitored. Overnight it dropped by 2 cm, and in the morning by another 3 cm.
On the morning of June 9, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said that the water level in the region had dropped by 20 cm, and 3,624 houses in 32 settlements were flooded.
On the morning of June 10, the water level in Mykolaiv was 88 centimeters. At the same time, in Kherson, the water level in the Dnipro exceeded the usual mark by 4 meters 72 centimeters, but overnight it dropped by 31 centimeters.
As of June 11, the water level in the Kherson region dropped by 26 centimeters to 4 meters 19 centimeters, and in Mykolaiv it was 69 cm.
