War will end as soon as Putin realises he cannot defeat Ukrainians – Estonian Prime Minister
The war in Ukraine will end when Russian President Vladimir Putin realises that he has made a mistake and will not be able to defeat Ukrainians
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said this during her speech at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit.
"The sooner Putin realises that he has made a mistake, will not be able to achieve his goals and defeat the heroic Ukrainians, the sooner the war will end," she said.
According to her, not only Putin, but all Russians are responsible for the crimes in Ukraine. The politician also emphasised the need to maintain sanctions against Russia.
"We cannot believe in the goodwill of the aggressor and criminals, we cannot look at Russia through the prism of democracy. We cannot accept wishful thinking, Russia must remain a pariah state that must be isolated. We should not allow a policy of appeasement (of the aggressor - ed.), move to relations with Russia as it was before, and lift sanctions," Kallas said.
