US supports supply of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine
There is consensus in the US Congress that ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, which can hit targets at a distance of up to 300 km, should be supplied to Ukraine.
CNN reports this with reference to the statement of Elissa Slotkin, a member of the Committee of the US House of Representatives on Armed Forces Affairs.
According to her, both Republicans and Democrats in the United States Congress are in favor of providing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with ATACMS missiles.
Slotkin explained that Ukraine needs such weapons, as highly mobile HIMARS artillery missile systems can hit targets at a distance of about 80 km. At the same time, ATACMS make it possible to destroy enemy targets at a much greater distance.
According to the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, these missiles will cut off the military logistics of the Russians, which they are frantically trying to rebuild after the successful strikes of the Ukrainian army on military warehouses.
It will also be a strong argument for protecting Ukraine from many missile strikes.
