The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reports.

“Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, on the night of February 6, 2025, hit the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation,” the statement says.

It is noted that this is a facility for the operational basing of aircraft.

“It is used for storage, preparation and launch of Shahed UAVs on the territory of Ukraine, as well as maintenance of aircraft performing missions in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. The hits and explosions in the target area have been confirmed. A fire broke out,” the General Staff said.

The results of the attack are being clarified.

Later, the 14th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Aerial Complexes of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces reported a fire at one of the warehouses on the airfield where drones are stored.

"We are working on reducing the population of Russian Shaheds in Ukraine's skies," they added.

On the evening of February 5, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrii Kovalenko, informed on Telegram about a strike in the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar region.

“Strikes in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, from where Russia constantly launches Shaheds," the message says.

Later he added that one of the Shaheds warehouses was located near the airfield.

Earlier, Russian Telegram channels reported on explosions in Russia. In particular, ASTRA, citing local sources, wrote about a UAV attack near the airport.

The head of the Primorsko-Akhtarsk Municipal District of Krasnodar Territory, Maksim Bondarenko, informed that the city had been on alert for a UAV and spoke of the alleged air defense operation at 8:20 p.m.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that air defense forces allegedly destroyed 28 drones overnight, including 13 over the Sea of Azov, 8 over Rostov region, 6 over Kuban, and one over Astrakhan region.

  • On the night of February 5, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of Russia, as well as a Russian Buk missile system in the Zaporizhzhia region.
