The administration of American President Joe Biden has approved a new defense aid package for Ukraine in the amount of USD 550 million.

The White House website reports on the signing of the corresponding memorandum

The US aid package will include, among other things, missiles for HIMARS and 155 mm ammunition for artillery systems.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said a new military aid package would be announced "very soon," but declined to specify what it would include. It was about the allocation of weapons from the existing reserves of the US Army by presidential decree.
