This was reported by Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko.
According to Freuding, Russia will pose the greatest threat to Western Europe and the entire continent both now and in the future. The major general emphasized that they are fully aware that the events unfolding in Ukraine could occur in other countries as well.
"We all know that Russia is preparing to strengthen its military potential and rebuild its armed forces. We are very clear about the timeline. We know that by 2029, five years from now, the Russian armed forces will have restored their capabilities to a level that could enable them to carry out any aggression against NATO territory. We are fully aware of this," Christian Freuding emphasized.
- Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel believes that if Ukraine had started its path to NATO in 2008, the war would have started earlier.
